All of my historical fiction books are now available at ibooks, Scribd, and Inktera. I will keep steadily working to release my contemporary stories at these outlets as well and will keep you informed of my progress.

On the horizon:

THE UNDERGROUND (SUPERHUMAN) BOOK 1 will be available on audiobook sometime in the next few months. The narration has been made and approved. I'm thrilled with the results. My thanks to Paul Brion for his near perfect reading.

Also, I have not forgotten any of the series books some are waiting on. Thank you to my faithful readers for their patience as I write. I will release Book 3 of the SUPERHUMAN series sometime in March or April. I will also be doing an email subscriber only giveaway at that time. Look for details in upcoming posts.

My Next Release:

He ran his fingers through her hair. “Your mind and flesh are mine alone.”

She clutched at him as if he’d dissolve, and he fancied her eyes grew damp.

“Yes, John,” she said. “And my heart as well.”

-----

After long correspondence, Ona Privett accepts the marriage proposal of a man she’s never met, swept away by the beautiful words he’s written of their promising future. But when she arrives, far south at the edge of the Florida wilderness, she discovers the man she intended to marry died within weeks of their last communication.

His son, John Cole, knows nothing about their letters, any pending marriage, or why such a beautiful girl is so determined to stay. Nor does he want the responsibility of a wife, though that was his father’s wish. He likes his freedom, spending his days fending for himself, relying only on his horse and the inborne skill of his mother’s Native American ancestry.

Yet that ancestry mixes with his father’s Caucasian blood to form powerful prejudices in the townspeople. Poisonous bigotry that, despite their growing passion, continues to fuel his doubts. Perhaps, the irresponsible youth he’s been isn’t strong enough to protect her. And maybe the hatred of those around them will ultimately destroy them both.

An edgy twist to the mail-order bride genre from best-selling author, SUZANNE D. WILLIAMS.

The Silent Killer

When He comes, He will show the world it was wrong about sin, righteousness, and judgment. (Jn 16:8 CEB)

In this age of entitlement and universal acceptance, secular society has “dumbed down” the very thing that makes Christian faith, faith. Jesus’ death on the cross isn’t simply a fiction story we retell to entertain ourselves and the Resurrection a cool semi-paranormal event made for TV. It served an incredible life-changing purpose, but to understand that purpose, we need to set the record straight on sin.

Sin is:

Non-negotiable. What was sin, is sin, whether you believe it is one or not. It operates outside of personal faith. The fact you don’t worship as I do doesn’t exempt you from sinning. (Gal 6:8)

Intolerable. God doesn’t tolerate sin and neither should we. Sin always has a consequence – always. Whether it’s immediate or way down the road. (1Jn 1:5)

Preventable. You can choose not to sin or choose to sin anyway. Sins are the result of decisions we make. (Jn 8:34)

Demanding. One sin demands another sin and that one easier to do. It multiplies itself. Suddenly what you did once isn't near as bad the second time, and by the third, you've convinced yourself it isn't a sin at all.

False. Sin lies to you. You begin to make excuses to make yourself feel not so bad about it. "MAYBE the Bible is wrong ...." No, my friend, the Bible is never wrong. What God says remains the same forever. (1Ti 4:2;Heb 13:8;Mal 3:6)

Equal. There aren’t any big sins or small sins. Sin is sin regardless of the size of it. All of it requires true repentance from a willing heart. (Mt 9:13)

Decaying. You're the apple which looks perfect on the outside but inside is rotten at the core. (Ps 51:10)

Condemning. You will feel guilty for it, regardless of how often you've told yourself it was perfectly okay. (Jn 3:19;Rm 8:1)

Limiting. Freedom is found in doing what's right. Sin requires secrets, damaging ones that leak into other parts of your life. (Ps 90:8;Ecc 12:14)

Sin isn't politically correct and won't ever be. If it embarrasses you, it should. If it doesn't, it should even more. (Rm 6:12-13)

People in the church sin. People out of church sin. Governments can't legalize it. Religion can't excuse it. You can't ever be outside of it and unaffected by it.

Its origin is death and with it comes disease and disaster and heartbreak. Sin is the silent killer. You can't Iive with it, but you can definitely die because of it. (Rm 5:21:Rm 6:6;Rm 6:23)

But here is the good news:

God didn't authorize it, but He will forgive it. Even better, He'll cast it so far away you can't find it anymore. He forgives and forgets completely. THAT was the purpose of the cross. (Rm 5:12;Ps 103:12)

And greater – that we can live free of sin, with victorious, successful lives. (Rm 6:22;Rm 8:12))

That when we mess up, God’s love is greater than our mistake.

That when life sucks, God’s hand is outstretched in comfort and guidance.

That when we can't see the way, He’ll lead us forward, even if the only step we see is the one right in front of us.

God is greater than sin, and life meant to be lived in joy and peace within the rules He gave us to guide us. Rules for our benefit. (Jn 15:24)

God’s righteousness comes through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ for all who have faith in him. There’s no distinction. All have sinned and fall short of God’s glory, but all are treated as righteous freely by his grace because of a ransom that was paid by Christ Jesus. (Rm 3:22-24 CEB)

Also, I have new book covers for the latest two books in the series:  MAIRE'S SONG and MICHAEL'S STORY. These fit better with the series and reflect the genre.

My Next Release:

I just finished writing a sweet YA, THE OTHER PLAYER, and have sent it in for edits. Look for this novella on preorder in the next couple days, to be released in a couple weeks. (For those counting, this will be my second book release this year.)

Also in the news:

Book 1 of the SUPERHUMAN series, THE UNDERGROUND, is being made into an audiobook. I have hired the perfect voice to narrate the story. Release should be sometime early summer. Book 3 in the series will be released I'm hoping in April, given I can kick myself into gear on Book 4.

Excerpt:

Tears burned behind her lids, and unwilling to let them fall, Dorothy ducked her head, sucking in a needed breath. He’d apologize for Drew? Especially when Drew had gone out of his way to run her away from him. The comparison stood stark in her mind, Louis’s gentleness against Drew’s anger.

-----

Spunky Southside Eagle cheerleader, Dorothy Payne, never expected to meet the guy of her dreams on the football field. Especially since he goes to the rival school, Piermont High. But a mid-game collision with Raider’s defense player, Louis Buntz, soon leads to mutual interest and a date.

What seems simple and full of promise, however, has unseen complications:  her mom’s bad health, Louis’s rocky home life, and, biggest of all, the sudden jealousy of her longtime friend, Eagles’ quarterback, Drew Sault.

The rash decision to go out with both further muddles things. Her heart pulls her one way, but her conscience pulls the other. She shouldn’t be with a Raider when it looks like the guy she’s known the longest is falling apart.

Rival teams. A football scandal. A play for her heart. Clean Reads for teens by best-selling author, SUZANNE D. WILLIAMS.
