Story Saturdays

I've been giving away paperbacks all week on Facebook, and here's your chance to win another. I have two copies of my latest YA, WINGS (Paranormal Romance,  Book 1) to give away. To enter leave me a comment on this blog WITH YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS. (No email. No enter.)

*All entries must be for mailing addresses within the contiguous United States. Winners will be chosen randomly Monday, March 24, 2014.

I believe this book will really bless the parent and the teenager with its strong Resurrection message.

Early reviews:
"This is one of the best books I have ever read! I couldn't put it down once I started it. I will definitely read more by this author!"

"Wings is a book that once you start reading it is hard to find a place to stop ... This is not the typical teenage love story or an angel love story."

Here's this week's new book cover. Think ex-Brazilian soccer player and a girl with Icelandic heritage:

For your excerpts, I have storylines from Book 5 of the Italian Series, PLAY IT FOR ME, as well as another upcoming novella, TAKE ME AWAY. Enjoy!

Mesmerized, she lost herself in the pace of the city, in the flash and sparkle of a million lights and the slow, blinking pace of an airplane descending from the black sky behind distant high rises. The town’s ethereal glow captured everything, encapsulating it, dreamlike.

“Magnificent, isn’t it?”

Whirling, Kati faced the tall shape on the far side, her breath fleeing.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to frighten you.”

He walked further into the room, and her lungs compressed. He was the invalid? But he was young and healthy and … extremely handsome.

A knock at the door broke into the conversation. She captured the phone in her palm and wandered from the kitchen into the foyer. The door made a sucking noise as it opened. One very similar to the one in her head at sight of the person on the stoop.

“Marianne … I … I wasn’t expecting you.”

Marianne, her older sister. If she was here, then that meant she intended to stay for a while. She never came without hanging around, and that was time she’d planned to spend preparing for her dream vacation.

“You’re busy. I’ll let you go,” Gator said.

Marianne’s gaze shifted to the phone. “Who’s that?”

Celia forced confidence into her tone. “That? That’s …” And the words fell out. “Gator, my fiancĂ©.”
